Citizen science clean-up projects are on the rise worldwide to reduce plastic pollution. Such activities can collect data on plastic abundance, distribution, and composition. Input reduction strategies require information like this, but little research has been conducted. A questionnaire survey and follow-up workshop conducted with 20 organisations dealing with plastic pollution are presented in this paper.
