Fisheries Management (Conservation) Regulations 2008

These regulations prescribe general conservation and management measures and measures for the protection of specific species. They also prohibit the use of certain gear and provide for enforcement. The regulations also concern, among other things, determination rights to participate in fishery (allocation of fishing rights); the content of a fishery plan as provided for in the Fisheries Management Act 2002; boundaries of special management areas; form for fishing licences and fishing licence fees; protection of marine mammals and specified fish species and aquatic animals; fish fences; fishing for home consumption; fish aggregation devices; and compliance with other conservation and management measures.
